Rabbi Joseph Telushkin's Book Tour

On Wednesday, I had the pleasure of attending an event headlined by Rabbi Joseph Telushkin at Temple Shalom, sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Collier County. Rabbi Telushkin is a well known, bestselling author of 16 books on Judaism and has even been named by Talk magazine as one of the fifty best speakers in the United States.

At the event, Rabbi Telushkin discussed his latest book, REBBE: The Life and Teachings of Menachem M. Schneerson, the Most Influential Rabbi in Modern History. As you know, Rabbi Fishel and I are Chabad Shluchim here in Naples and it is the Rebbe that inspired our lifelong dedication to Jewish outreach, so this event was personally meaningful to me. It was an honor to hear Rabbi Telushkin praise the Chabad movement as one of the most dynamic and widespread organizations ever seen in the Jewish world.

Even more so, was seeing the response from the audience and joining the greater Naples Jewish community in celebrating the universal themes in the Rebbe's teachings. I can truly say that seeing the community unite and together become inspired by Telushkin's masterful depiction of the Rebbe was a personal highlight of my week, and memory I will cherish for a long time.
