The Alex & Carol Glassman Chabad Jewish Center of Naples, has served Naples, Marco Island, and Greater Collier County since 2003.
We provide a wide array of educational, humanitarian and social services for the growing Jewish community of Collier County. At Chabad we believe in the importance of the individual and the significance of every Mitzvah, good deed. We offer programs designed to make Judaism an accessible reality to all Jews regardless of background or affiliation - or age!
Chabad of Naples has just moved into our very own 22,000 square foot facility at the corner of Mandarin and Orchid just west of Tamiami Trail. We're proud to announce the opening of the Preschool of the Arts at the Chabad Jewish Community Center in September of 2011! Our preschool is available to children from 2 through 4 years old.
Rabbi Fishel
Rabbi Fishel grew up in Oak Park, Michigan, where his father has served as a Chabad Rabbi for over Twenty years. Upon completion of his studies, he was ordained by leading Rabbis from America & Israel, including former chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu. Rabbi Zaklos taught in the Boys Yeshiva in Chicago, and conducted after-school programs for elementary school children.
Rabbi Zaklos also served as a student intern providing educational programs and holiday events for several Jewish communities in the United States. He visited cities throughout Eastern Europe, and the Far East, most notably, directing the world's largest Passover Seder in Katmandu, Nepal and another in Vietnam. He also directed overnight children's camps in Moscow, Montreal, and Tucson, Arizona.
Rebbetzin
Mrs. Ettie Zaklos was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in the Lubavitcher Rebbe's "backyard", where she was imbued with a sense of mission and purpose to share her love for Judaism with her fellow Jews. Ettie studied at the Beth Rivka School in New York, and spent two years in advanced studies in Jerusalem. She completed her college years in Beth Chana of Safed, Israel and graduated with a teacher's degree majoring in Judaic Studies.
At her brother's Chabad House in Prague, Czech Republic, Ettie implemented many successful holiday programs for the growing Jewish community there. She has been a counselor and an activity director for camps in Moscow, Berlin, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Sharon, Massachusetts. Ettie has spent the last few years teaching Jewish studies to children of various ages in Long Island and the Bronx.
