Dear Friends

This Shabbat, Saturday, May 9, 2015 – the Chabad of Naples community will be proudly joining Joshua and Renee Bialek, and their extended family, in celebrating the Bar Mitzvah of their beloved son, Jared Bialek, in the sanctuary of the Chabad of Naples Jewish Community Center.

Jared has been a student at the Chabad of Naples Hebrew School since 2007. His mother, Renee, has been a teacher at Chabad’s Preschool of the Arts since its very inception. His father, Joshua, a partner at the law firm of Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur, is a prominent leader in our community, serving on the board of the Naples Jewish Federation and as President of the Holocaust Museum and Education Center of Southwest Florida.

The Tallis and Tefilin Jared is wearing are those which once belonged to his great-grandfather, the late Mayer Nemes, of blessed memory, a holocaust survivor who, for many years, served as the president of his synagogue in New York.

As tomorrow’s celebration will be shared by representatives of four generations welcoming Jared into the realm of Jewish adulthood, it will make for a moving and poignant expression indeed of the ideal of “M’dor L’dor” – Jewish continuity from generation to generation.

Mazel Tov!
